大雪が降った次の日は、ニセコ地区には除雪作業という大イベントがあります。この写真でその様子がわかります。雪を集める除雪車（黄色い車）。雪をトラックに移動するスノースローアー（緑の車）。そして雪を運ぶトラック。この３台のチームワークは非常に良いです。大量の雪が数分で消えてゆきます。

A day after we have a heavy snow, every road is busy in Niseko area. It is time to shovel snow. You can see what will happen from this photo. There is a big vehicle with a snow remover (yellow vehicle). The green vehicle is a snow thrower which picks up snow, throwing it into a truck. This truck will take the snow to a designated snow dumping area.  Their collaboration is superb. In a few minutes a large amount of snow will disappear  in front of your eyes.  Amazing show time!

ニセコ収穫祭

ニセコの秋は食材でいっぱいです。このポスターはそのような食材を使ったニセコ収穫祭に関するものです。メイン食材は「ジャガイモ」と「秋野菜」です。期間は９月５日から９月２７日です。メニューはコロッケバーガー、ポテトセット、なすの揚げもの、そして季節の野菜をふんだんに使ったカレーまでバラエティゆたかです。

Harvest Festival in Niseko
Niseko has many Autumn cooking ingredients. This poster concerns the Niseko Harvest Festival that uses such fresh ingredients. The main ingredients are potatoes and fall vegetables. The festival was held September 5th - September 27th. The menu ranges from croquette burgers, potato set, fried eggplant, to curry and rice with abundant seasonal vegetables.

水着スキーコンテスト

ニセコは外国人が多いので日本人には理解できない色々なイベントがあります。水着スキーコンテストのその一つです。派手な水着で頂上から無事滑ってパフォーマンスを競います。滑った後は、温泉に直行です。お楽しみは、温泉での生ビールです。

Bathing Suit Ski Contest
As there are many foreigners in Niseko, there are many events which Japanese cannot understand. One is the bathing suit ski contest. Contestants wear loud swimwear and ski downhill in competition against one another. After they finish, they proceed directly to a hot spring where they enjoy draft beer.

ラフティング

ニセコはラフティングのメッカです。特に春の雪解けは水かさが増し、ラフティングファンにとってはたまらない季節です。通常ゴムボート1つに６人から８人乗り込み、一緒に目的地に向かって下って行きます。ラフティングガイドが一緒にいるので安心です。

Rafting
Niseko is a mecca of rafting. Especially, when the water increases due to the thaw in spring,  it is a season  that can't be missed for the rafting fan. A rafting boat usually has from six to eight people. And it descends the river toward the take-out point. It is safe because there is a trained rafting guide in each raft.
