ニセコ地区には素晴らしい温泉がたくさんあります。そのような施設には、この写真で見られるような自動マッサージ機が備え付けられています。１００円コインを挿入すると10分間全身を機械がマッサージしてくれます。足もケアしてくれるので最高です。

Automatic Massage Machine
There are splendid hot springs in the Niseko districts. An automatic massage machine like the ones in this photo is usually furnished there. The machine will massage your body for 10 minutes when  a 100 yen coin is inserted. Since it can take care of your feet, you can feel so great!

駅前ホテル

倶知安駅前にあるこの駅前ホテルは、ロケーションが良いため多くの人が利用します。1階の受付では、無料でビデオを借りて部屋で見ることができます。また、タクシー会社の事務所も1階にあるので、この地区のことは詳しく教えてくれます。

A Hotel in Front of the Station
This hotel in front of Kutchan Station is used by many people because of the good location. At the desk on the first floor you can borrow videos for free and watch them in your room. Also, there is the office of a taxi company on the first floor, so the counter staff can tell you about this area in detail.

バス停

この看板は道南バスというバス会社のバスのりば用看板です。倶知安駅前にあるので大変便利です。行き先は、倶知安近郊の町だけでなく、札幌へも行きます。この駅前広場は一般自動車が駐車できます。また、タクシー乗り場もこの広場にあります。

Bus Stop
This signboard is used for the Donan Bus Stop. It is convenient, because it is in front of Kutchan Station. The bus goes not only to neighboring towns, but also to Sapporo. We can park our car in front of the station. Also, there is a taxi stop there.

駅前標語

この標語は、倶知安駅前に設置されているものです。”悩みなら話してごらん家族だんらん”と書かれています。このような健全育成を目的とした標語は倶知安町のいろいろな場所に設置されています。活動している団体は倶知安町の青少年育成会です。

The Motto in Front of Kutchan Station
There is a motto in front of Kutchan Station: ”You can say anything when you are in trouble because we are a family.”  Such mottos, whose purpose is wholesome education, are put in several places. Kutchan's young people's development organization conducts these activities.

自動販売機

ニセコ地区は雪が多いので、自動販売機もこの写真のように屋根がついています。この自動販売機は倶知安駅横に設置されています。２４時間休まず営業です。自動販売機横の看板はニセコ地区の地図です。また、後ろの方に見える建物は倶知安駅前交番です。

Vending Machine
Niseko is a heavy snow area, so vending machines have a roof like in this photo. This machine is located next to Kuchan Station. It operates 24 hours a day. A signboard beside the vending machine has a map of the Niseko area. Also, there is a building in back. It is called Kuchan Ekimae Koban, or police station.

ふきだし荘メニュー

この看板は “ふきだし荘” というお店のメニューです。ジンギスカン定食とドナルドソン定食が１１００円と書かれています。この店は名水公園にあるので、水を入れる容器も販売しています。２リットル用が２５０円です。この店の宣伝文句は、”創業５８周年の自慢の味”です。

Menu of Hukidashi-So
This signboard is the menu of Hukidashi-So. It says Genjiskan or mutton barbecue and a dish named Donaldson are 1100 yen. The restaurant is in Meisui Park, so they sell water containers. The two-litter containers cost 250 yen. This restaurant's slogan is “Good taste established 58 years ago.”

ニセコ公衆便所

ニセコ地区にある公衆トイレはユニークです。この写真のトイレは、大きな切り株の一部がトイレになったイメージです。このトイレが設置されている場所は、京極の吹き出し公園内です。漢字で “公衆便所” と書かれています。

The public toilets are unique in Niseko. The toilet in this photo is in the image of a big stump. This toilet is in Fukidashi Park in Kyogoku. That chinese character means ‚ “the public toilet.”

ニセコでライブ

ニセコのパウダースノーは大変有名です。そのため毎年世界中からたくさんの観光客がスキーやスノーボードを楽しむためやってきます。それでは夜は何をして楽しむでしょうか。定番はパーティです。そのためこの写真のようなライブも色々な場所で毎晩開かれています。

Powder snow is very famous in Niseko. So, every year many people from around the world come here to enjoy skiing and snowboarding. What do they do at night? Having a party is typical. Such a live performance as in this photo is held in various places every night.

無料インターネット

ニセコ地区では、まだすべてのペンションやホテルで無線LANを利用することはできません。そのため、外国人観光客にとって、この写真のまちのえき”ぷらっと”は大変便利です。いつでも無料でインターネットを利用できます。スカイプも利用できるパソコンがあります。

Internet for free
Lan is still not available at all pensions and hotels in Niseko. For that reason, it’s very useful for foreign visitors to use, “Machi no Eki Puratto,”  a tourist center in Kutchan. You can use the Internet for free. There are some computers equipped with Skype, too.
